News just in that Hamilton Boys High have taken the gold medal at the NZ Secondary School Championships hosted by the Hamilton club over the weekend. The team won a thrilling final against Nelson College winning 4 - 1.

Individual achievements:
A grade top goal scorer - Devon Stove (Nelson College)
A grade best goalie - Jeremy Ashdown (Hamilton Boys High)
B grade top goal scorer - Zed Smith (Hillcrest High)
B grade best goalie - Caleb Hardwick (Fraser High)
Special mentions go to:
Jess Kleinhans for putting her body on the line as goalie for the Hillcrest High A grade team during their game against Nelson College on Saturday and returning the next day to support her team despite the injury she sustained.
Sam Willis for stepping up to play goalie for the Hillcrest High A grade team in Jess’ absence as well as continuing to play goalie for their B grade team. Although this meant he often played games back to back, Sam put in a courageous and admirable effort all weekend.
Despite only having trained once as a full team, the Waikato Girls team surprised everyone by putting up a tremendous fight in B grade and drawing with both eventual finalists during round robin.
